Angled Shapes
One of the most frequently used graphic elements in the NRG Systems brand is created using a square with rounded corners, turned 45°. The shape can be used to contain copy, as a way of emphasizing headlines, or simply as a visual element, as seen in the footer of all product sheets.
Text Containers
The NRG Systems brand uses brackets to isolate or highlight copy in layouts. The brackets are always rounded corners, and always appear on the upper left and lower right corners of the container.
Angled text containers are a variation on a regular bracketed container, and they can be used to hold copy with an accompanying image, or a quotation with attribution.
Using Patterns
The NRG brand system uses three patterns; the 45° pinstripe, and two line patterns, all based on the geometry of the NRG symbol. Currently, these are the only patterns that should be used when designing for the NRG Systems brand.
For printed material, only the pinstripe pattern should be used.
Treated Images
Images are sometimes treated to control color use and accentuate other brand colors.
Illustration Style
Illustrations should be simple, flat line drawings with no shading. No more than three brand colors should be used when creating an illustration.
